Budget Billing is a free program available to MWEC members that helps balance out seasonal fluctuations in energy costs. 
Instead of paying higher bills in extreme weather months, your payment stays consistent year-round.

Our system calculates a rolling average of your past electric bills to determine a steady monthly payment amount—making it easier to plan your household budget.

Budget Billing doesn’t lower your total energy costs, but it does spread payments evenly throughout the year. It’s a great choice for:

• Homeowners who use electric heat
• Members on a fixed income
• Anyone who prefers predictable monthly bills

Eligibility:

• You must have been an MWEC member for at least 12 months to establish billing and usage history.
• Your account must be in good standing with MWEC.
• Account must be at a $0.00 balance in order to begin program.
