Beginning May 11, 2026, Fast Forward crews will be working in the Powers Lake/Liberty area capturing images of MWEC’s power lines. 

These patrols will use panoramic and thermal cameras mounted on vehicles marked “Fast Forward.” You may see these vehicles moving through your neighborhood as they capture detailed images of our equipment, both day and night. The data collected will help us improve system visibility, enhance reliability, and plan smarter for the future.

Members in this area may notice Fast Forward vehicles traveling on local roads during both daytime and nighttime hours, with the work expected to take approximately two weeks. 

These patrols are just one of the many ways we invest in the long-term health of our electric grid.
