MWEC Comes Together for
Heartwarming Pediatric Toy Drive
Starting the year with a heartwarming cause, MWEC is partnering with a young community hero to host a pediatric toy drive for young children facing medical challenges. All toys collected will be donated to pediatric units in Bismarck, Fargo and Mayo.
Jameson Koehn, a four-year old in Stanley, ND, is not a stranger to the pediatric unit. Born with Marfan Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder of the connective tissue, Jameson has spent many nights in the hospital undergoing various treatments and surgical procedures. Through all his visits and pain, there is one thing that always adds joy to Jamesons time in the hospital. Toys, donated by strangers to make a difference in the face of young faces!
“It’s amazing how something as simple as a new toy, brings back a twinkle in Jameson’s eye while we are in the hospital,” said Jason, Jamesons father and MWEC employee. “Jameson wants to give this joy to other kids going through tough medical circumstances and he thought what better way than with toys!”
Together with Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative, Jameson hopes to donate toys to pediatric units utilized by many families in our region. The purpose of this event is to collect new toys. Whether you’re a parent, student, local business owner, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, we invite you to join the cause!
