Farewell to Charlene Aubol

After nearly five years of service on the MWEC Board of Directors, Charlene Aubol bids farewell to MWEC members, Board and staff. Her journey began through simple words of encouragement.

“I decided to run for the Board because another board member encouraged me,” Aubol shares. “I had worked at our local Farmers Union for over 10 years and understood the unique and special nature of cooperatives.

Reflecting on her time serving on the Board, Aubol identifies her favorite aspect of serving on the board: the people. “I will always value the relationships I developed with fellow Board members and the individuals I met along the way,” she reflects.

The cooperative difference lead Aubol’s leadership, particularly in addressing issues crucial to MWEC’s mission. “We shared a passion to serve our members,” she said. “A united front is essential in navigating the evolving energy landscape, today and in the future.”

For those considering a similar path, Aubol shares – Definitely do it! “It is truly the most interesting job I’ve ever done and I am thankful for the opportunity,” she said.
